Sparus Software announces EveryWAN Mobility Manager 3.0, the new version of its mobile device management and security solution.
Paris, October 14, 2008. This new version of the leading-edge Windows Mobile device management software brings in a number of new key features, including high availability and increased scalability for the EveryWAN server, status reports of changes made on mobile devices, and a new user interface for the administration console.
Given the central role played by the EveryWAN mobile gateway server in the optimization of mission-critical application wireless data transfer between the corporate IT servers and the mobile devices (i.e. session and time-outs management taking into account cellular networks latency and disconnects, traffic encryption and compression, …), it is mandatory to insure « 24x7 » availability of the mobile infrastructure. EveryWAN Mobility Manager v3.0 is based on a brand new multi-server redundant architecture («active-active cluster») which also includes a load-balancer, thus enabling very large deployments scaling up to several thousands concurrent connections.
Regarding remote device management, version 3.0 provides many enhancements, as for instance the capability to display status reports for the deployment of new settings and updates sent to a group of mobile devices (pending, successful, failed, not applicable).
Last, Sparus has greatly improved the graphical user interface –which was already a strong differentiator. The new Web 2.0 administration console and the remote control desktop application are intuitive to systems administrators and helpdesk teams, thereby contributing to a rapid adoption of the MDM solution.
« Version 3.0 is a major milestone in our product development, according to Christophe Pierret, Sparus Software CTO. The new architecture positions EveryWAN as an essential component of a mobile infrastructure capable to address reliability, service continuity and scalability requirements.»
General Availability of EveryWAN Mobility Manager v3.0 is planned for the 4th quarter of 2008.
